My name is Ivo Dijkhuis, Senior Information Security Officer at the RIPE NCC since 2009. I’m a hacker at heart, and have been working in IT/Security for about 25 years. I joined the TF-CSIRT community in 2014, and have always found the personal interactions with all of you very valuable. The last few years, I’ve been an active member of the TF-CSIRT Futures Working Group, paving the way for an independent and bright future for TF-CSIRT.

Now that we’ve reached the next phase, I would very much like to continue in an active role in the Steering Committee, exploring new opportunities to work with other communities, and developing new activities where the TF-CSIRT community can benefit from.

Dear colleagues and friends, for those of you, whom I haven’t yet had the pleasure to meet, my name is Jan, and I am a security consultant currently working for my own company, Nettles Consulting. Before starting NC, I was briefly a security manager at Accenture and before that I have, for many years, lead ALEF-CSIRT – a managed service IR team at an IT/security provider in the Czech Republic. I’m also one of the “Handlers” at the SANS Internet Storm Center, a TI associate and FIRST Liaison. I have been part of the international CSIRT community for many years now and I’ve seen TF-CSIRT grow immensely over that time to the current state when Trusted Introducer service connects a community of almost 500 teams. Although TF-CSIRT provides a significant value to participating teams as is, I believe there is a way to increase this value still further – specifically by coordinating research activities of participating teams, enabling easier sharing of threat intelligence, and improving and extending educational materials available as part of TRANSITS courses. Any and all of these improvements would of course need to be a community-driven effort, but I believe they are attainable, and they are something I would like to try to bring forward should I be elected to the TF-CSIRT Steering Committee, besides making sure that the community remains as open and inclusive as it is now.

I have been a member of the Steering Committee for the past 3 years. Mostly working on the future and transition of TF-CSIRT.

Really exciting times and there is more to come. A lot of work is still to be done. The ‘new’ eatablished SC has a huge responsibily in maintaining and keeping our community as strong as we are and even build it further. Interesting times and therefore I decided to step-up for another term to serve the community.

André Oosterwijk is a Senior Security Specialist – Incident Response at KPN CERT. He has worked in the public sector from 1997-2015 in different roles related to Incident response and security analysis at the Ministry of Defence and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-NL). His first TF-CSIRT meeting was in 2007 and he is an active participant in the community since then. The past years André worked for several multinational companies on Incident Response/Forensics and SOC/CSIRT deployment. Since 2017, he is working at the Dutch telco KPN as part of the KPN-CERT team.
