Information about each of the candidates is included below to help you with voting.

Candidate A: Ivo Dijkhuis

It’s great to be back in the TF-CSIRT community after a short absence!  Some of you may remember me as representative of the RIPE NCC CSIRT, and  as an active member in the TF-CSIRT Futures working group, helping to  pave the way for an independent TF-CSIRT organisation. Nowadays I’m a member of mIRT (mnemonic IRT); a Norwegian based  cybersecurity provider with offices throughout Europe.

I have been working in IT/Security for 25+ years, and been a member of  TF-CSIRT for about a decade. Currently living in the Netherlands with my  family, while travelling regularly to lovely Norway for work.

What I aim to do for our community: explore new opportunities to work  with other communities (for example: joint meetings with like-minded  communities or groups, smaller local events), and develop new activities  where the TF-CSIRT community can benefit from (for example: more  workshops and training opportunities). Needless to say that your input  and ideas are very much valued and needed! I think we have a challenging but bright future. It’s important that we invest in a strong CSIRT community in Europe (and beyond) – and provide opportunities for all teams to bond, share experiences, cooperate and build trust.

Candidate B: Michael Perzi

Dear community and members of the TF-CSIRT,

my name is Michael Perzi and I’m working at the Vienna University since 2002. I studied Information Technology and already started working for the University in the department ACOnet – the Austrian Research and Education Network – and Vienna Internet Exchange for my Master degree. At this time providing a stable national backbone and developing a working monitoring system were my main tasks. This was followed by the implementation of the first AntiDDoS appliances and also introducing several security mechanisms in the network. I have been attending TF-CSIRT meetings for nearly 10 years now, and the experience I gained and the people I was able to meet during that time was amazing. Meanwhile I am taking over a team lead in our department and my daily business still consists of providing NREN services, network administration, DDoS detection and mitigation, but also being a link between the NOC- and the CERT-team for an effective joint work.

It would be a pleasure to share my experience in the different areas of NREN, Exchange Point and Security in the work as a Steering Committee Member, to bring different perspectives and help evolving the development of the community.
