NCSC-Hungary serves as the primary authority on cyber security in Hungary, it operates within the Special Service for National Security under the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister. NCSC Hungary acts as the responsible National CSIRT for the NIS2 sectors, DORA, and critical infrastructure. NCSC Hungary was founded in 2013 by the Act L of 2013 on the information security of state and municipal bodies. Since then Hungary has a new Cyber Security Law ( Act LXIX of 2024 on the Cyber Security of Hungary) effective from 01.01. 2025, which combines all previous decrees and implements the NIS 2 Directive.
