Whenever new teams would like to become part of the TF-CSIRT community, a voting process is invoked asking the full members for support. Once a team has been accepted, the information about the newly registered team will be made available, as part of the TI Directory.

Listed Teams are entitled to attend open TF-CSIRT Meetings, subscribe to open mailing lists, and have access to open information maintained by the Trusted Introducer service.

Liaison Members

Organisations with an interest in the TF-CSIRT Community but that do not meet the criteria for a successful registration as listed team with Trusted Introducer can apply to become a TF-CSIRT Liaison Member.

Applicants for Liaison Membership should be able to demonstrate that their organisation is of strategic importance to the TF-CSIRT Community and runs activities that are relevant to it.

To apply for Liaison Membership, please send a letter to the OCF Secretary outlining why your organisation wishes to apply for Liaison Membership and how it meets the criteria set out above. The following process will then be followed:

  2. The SC’s recommendation will be communicated to the TF-CSIRT Full Members, which will be asked to raise any objections - if any - against the SC’s recommendation.
  3. If no objections are received within three weeks, the outcome will be communicated to the applicant.
  4. If objections are received, the decision will be taken to a formal vote at the next TF-CSIRT Meeting.
  5. If the Liaison Membership was granted, the organisation’s nominated representative(s) will be added to the general TF-CSIRT mailing list.

Current Liaison Members of TF-CSIRT are: AfricaCERT, APNIC, ENISA, Internet Society and CERT/CC.
